The world of artificial light is in a permanent change. The new LEDs have a big potential for technical and design aspects. But what do those new lighting sources mean for designers?

The students received 1 LED engine, 1 cooling element and 1 electronic ballast to get closer to this technology, practically and theoretically. How do the future lights have to look like? Are the actual typologies still adequate?
