Salt and Pepper

In a first step the first year students in industrial design at the Zurich University of the Arts had to generate a concept for a salt and pepper shaker. Afterwards they had to choose two different polymers within the available materials to develop the design, regarding the specific characteristics of the material and the processing. That's how they learned to respond to possibilities and restrictions of different polymers and technologies. Additionally, the interaction between form, material and fabrication could have been experienced practically.
